Our client is a private limited company leading in producing certified potato seeds through a decentralized model.  They have a network of 10,000 + farmers that have access to full bundled services - certified seeds, agrochemical and fertilizer inputs, extension services.  The organization has started a new company for value addition of chips processing for local and export markets situated in Mau Narok, Nakuru County.

JOB SUMMARY 

The role of a Marketing and Distribution Executive would be to bridge the gap between creating demand for the company’s products or services and ensuring their efficient delivery to customers. This role involves designing impactful marketing strategies to boost brand visibility and sales while managing distribution channels to guarantee timely product availability. The role will be based in Nairobi with regular travels to the factor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  •  Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and market share.
  •  Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitor insights.
  •  Plan and execute advertising campaigns across various platforms (digital, print, social media, etc.).
  •  Create promotional content and materials to support sales teams and enhance customer engagement.
  •  Monitor marketing performance metrics and optimize campaigns based on data analysis.
  •  Manage distribution channels, ensuring efficient delivery to retailers, wholesalers, or end customers.
  •  Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain teams to meet demand forecasts.
  •  Negotiate and maintain relationships with distributors, logistics partners, and vendors.
  •  Identify and resolve issues in the supply chain to avoid delays or inefficiencies.
  •  Develop strategies to expand distribution networks and improve accessibility.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  •  Proven experience in marketing, distribution, or supply chain management.
  •  Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market and operational data.
  •  Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  •  Proficiency in marketing tools (SEO, Google Ads, CRM) and logistics software.
  •  Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines.
