SALES MANAGER

Douala, Cameroon

ROLE:

Reporting to the Manager Director, your responsibility will be to define and execute an appropriate sales strategy overseas, including the growth of existing partnerships, exploration and identification of new partnerships to maximise sales and profitability. Collaborate with the key stakeholders across the Group to lead and motivate the Sales Team and Partners to achieve the sales targets through a customer centric approach that understands and anticipates customers’ needs. 

Act as a Business Representative & work in collaboration – hand in hand with the marketing department to define and execute appropriate and successful sales strategy, including business development, technical, operational and sales support programs to maximise sales and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Define, execute and effectively communicate the brands sales strategy and operation plans.

·       Deliver top line sales growth through new and existing customers.

·       Develop the breadth and depth of sales within existing and future markets.

·       Identify new commercial opportunities to increase revenues on a global market.

·       Report on forces that impact tactical results & take appropriate action.

·       Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through working collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams and fosters a culture of continuous process improvement.

·       Partner with customers to understand their business objectives and maximise sales performance in the most efficient, cost effective and commercial manner.

·       Provide outstanding customer service through prompt and accurate support and advice

·       Evaluate market research, competitor and customer surveys and execute strategies in line with evaluations.

·       Negotiate, manage, renew, review contracts as required to enable effective trading, operations and customer/supplier relations (SRM).

·       Maximising company profit, set and deliver forecast, and achieve annual sales targets.

·       Leads motivate and develop the Sales team to create a customer centric high performing team.

·       Set review and provide feedback on expectations for direct reports improve their skills and technical ability in line with the company goals and their career aspirations

·       Communicate regular updates on key performance indicators to business-wide stakeholders.

·       Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.

·       Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.

·       Desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven landscape.

·       Accurately forecasting future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace

·       Analyze data; deliver periodic reporting to the sales, design and marketing teams providing key business insights: (incl. customer segmentation, Trends, Target Account and Market Segmentation.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

 ·       Masters degree in sales / qualified preferred in Sales or Business Management.

·       Minimum five years’ experience in leading a sales team

·       10+ years of experience with a successful track record of training and developing a sales team

·       Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets

·       Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing Manager

.      Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions

NECCESSARY SKILLS:

 . Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategy and results to staff members at every level of the organization

·       Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clients

·       Demonstrated skill in negotiating and closing on critical sales contracts

·       Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products

·       Proven ability to position products against competitors

·       Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
