Our client is a disruptive market leader in the provision of financial services to Zambian micro, small and medium enterprises. They are a digital champion in providing accessible smart solutions in the financial industry using products that are tailor made for the growing SME industry. They are looking for an Agency Banking, Rural Digital Finance and Gender Expert to plan and implement agent banking and tailor it to the needs of women, small scale farmers and rural areas.
This position is both creative and rigorous by nature you need to think
outside the box. We expect the candidate to be proactive and have a "get it done"
spirit. To be successful, you will have solid solving problem skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan introduction of agent agent network with special focus on women small scale farmers' needs.
- Lead needs assessment through interviews, surveys, and focus groups. Convert identified needs into actionable solution and service requirements. Develop a comprehensive roadmap for agents to offer tailored services.
- Develop agency banking procedures and fee & commission structure.
- Create comprehensive agency banking procedures, encompassing agent onboarding and float/liquidity management.
- Conduct agency banking pilot with focus on providing gender-inclusive services in rural areas.
- Identify and establish suitable partnerships, lead the design and execution of trainings, and create marketing materials.
- Establish KPIs, Monitoring, and Reporting Framework by defining KPIs, dashboards and reports to track and manage performance. Institute feedback loops for ongoing service enhancements.
- Prepare Operational Expansion by developing a comprehensive roll-out plan including agent onboarding strategies, training initiatives, marketing campaigns and geographic expansion.
- Develop and Lead Women's Empowerment Training
- Oversee Local Agro Partner Relations and Initiatives.
Must Have
- Bachelor Degree or Higher
- At least 5 years of proven experience in managing rural agency networks
- Practical experience in a financial institution with operations in rural areas
- Solid Practical experience in digital finance and project management
- Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused demeanor
- Exceptional analytical, verbal- and written- communication skills
- Highly creative and autonomous
