Human Resources Manager

LUSAKA, Zâmbia

We are looking for a Human Resource Manager to lead all people functions for a social impact driven organization that is  pioneering roadmap  initiatives that combines market creation with wildlife conservation. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of Human Resources management, ensuring effective workforce planning, employee relations, compliance, and the development of a motivated workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic HR leadership aligned with organizational goals
  • Talent Management: Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to development, motivation, and retention.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Administer and review compensation and benefits programs, conduct market analysis, and ensure competitive packages.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a bridge between management and employees, addressing grievances, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Performance Management: Manage and monitor a performance appraisal system to drive high performance and support employee development
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs, develop, and implement programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Organizational Development: Provide strategic guidance on organizational development and workforce planning initiatives. 
  • Budget and Reporting: Manage HR budgets and provide reports and decision support through HR metrics to management.
  • HR Systems and Analytics: Oversee the implementation and use of HR Information Systems (HRIS) and utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making

Must Have

  • A minimum of a Bachelors  degree in any field but with emphasis on Human Resources, Business Studies, or Related Disciplines
  • Atleast 5 Years proven experience as an HR Manager or in a Similar  Management role 
  • Knowledge of Zambian labor laws, payroll systems, and HRIS
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Full paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management

  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of cultures in a diverse community
  • Legal background will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to engage in effective and persuasive negotiations
  • Ability to analyse and transform organisational behaviour to HR initiatives
  • Ability to create high-impact teams that build on positive teamwork and collaboration
