Job Summary

The role of the IT Officer is to enable a seamless integration of the business processes and IT systems, through the provision, operation and maintenance of the computer networks, systems, data and security to service the business needs at the agreed levels. The incumbent will also provide effective and efficient support services to IT users in order to drive the business, through lifecycle planning, management of the portfolio, and ensure the optimal use of the IT resources for the achievement of the company objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Planning & Management

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify specific technology requirements.
  • Advise on technology solutions that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Participate in developing, implementing and maintaining IT strategies and policies to support the organization's goals.
  • Management of the business relationship with vendors ensuring that SLAs are adhered to.
  • Evaluate vendors’ options and make recommendations.


IT Operations & Support

  • Deploy, operate and support networks, servers, systems and data, to ensure availability, performance and seamless functionality.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other employees onsite and remotely.
  • Install, configure, operate and troubleshoot systems, devices, servers, and networks onsite and remotely.
  • Test and evaluate new technologies, then provide recommendations to Line Manager.
  • Manage lifecycle of IT Assets (hardware, software and licenses).
  • Manage user accounts, access and permissions to specific systems, applications and databases.


Security & Risk Management

  • Develop, implement and enforce disaster recovery plans and security protocols to protect organization systems and data.
  • Conduct audits, perform regular risk assessments to ensure compliance with information security standards.
  • Educate employees on security best practices and the importance of maintaining a secure environment.
  • Conduct security awareness training to raise awareness of potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Manage the organization's security tools, including firewalls, endpoint security solutions, IAM, etc.


Project Management

  • Assist Line Manager in project planning (defining scope, creating project plan, allocating resources).
  • Assist Line Manager in project execution (communication with stakeholders, monitoring of progress).
  • Business Process Analysis: Understanding of business processes and how they can be improved using ERP or other digital solutions.

 

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge/experience of working in multicultural environments.
  • Experience in hybrid and remote work environments.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure)
  • Knowledge of MDM solutions and IAM (Microsoft Entra ID).
  • Experience with IT service management practices tools (Ticketing, CMDB, IT Asset Management, Change Management).
  • Familiar with ITIL processes.
  • Proficiency in networks administration.
  • Proficiency in network and systems monitoring tools.
  • Experience with Cisco, Mikrotik and SonicWall network products.
  • Experience with ERP
  • Experience with Business Process Analysis.
  • Experience with ERP Support (Odoo) is a plus
  • Knowledge/Experience with Python and SQL language is a plus.
  • Ability and experience to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant certifications: ITIL, COBIT, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
