MEDIA STRATEGY DIRECTOR / DIRECTEUR MEDIA - CONGO

REPORTING TO : Managing Director with dotted line reporting to the Group Media Director 

JOB SUMMARY :  

Our client is looking to hire a Media Strategy Director, to join their Senior Leadership Team and drive All Media Strategy output and delivery across all Clients and Teams within the assigned country.

As Digital Media becomes the dominant part of our clients’ media spend, the Media Strategy Director is expected to come from a Digital Media background, whilst still being able to understand Media in totality, including ATL media principles.

The incumbent will be guiding a team of media & digital strategists & planners, building strong strategic relationships with our client base and partner agencies.

You must be culturally savvy, apply innovative thinking and be interested in solving clients' business problems as our client wants you to 'connect the dots' and be willing to get stuck into all parts of their clients' business.

ROLE DIMENSIONS :

·       Confident to write & present brilliant media strategies, with a well-constructed story & thread.

·       Understand how digital media works, be able to integrate it into strategies and oversee its implementation and reporting.

·       Attention to detail and organised to work in an efficient way.

·       Genuine interest in people and how they consume media and content.

·       Excellent knowledge of standard media tools and the ability to draw insights from data.

·       Ability to lead and inspire a team.

·       Media training & mentorship, supporting junior members of the team where required.

EXPERIENCE & QAULAIFICATION REQUIRED

·       A respected Marketing or related Tertiary Degree

·       Up to date Google and Meta Certifications

·       Must be bilingual (English & French)

·       Background in the field of Communication, Marketing, or Advertising

·       At least 5+ years' experience in this field, preferably as a Digital Media Strategist

·       Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Keynote

·       Experience in the smart  interpretation of the outputs of qualitative and quantitative media and consumer research.
