REPORTING TO : Managing Director
JOB SUMMARY :
An exciting leadership role with the opportunity for expansion. You will be responsible for owning and developing the relationship with your team's portfolio of clients. This will be done via managing and driving value the company's largest client directly plus leading and managing a team of account managers and helping them drive value for their clients. You will be the senior point of contact for day-to-day management of the business and the ability to sell new ideas and solutions. You will also be responsible for owning and driving the P&L for your team.
ROLE DIMENSIONS :
CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS:
• Strategic point of contact for senior clients and establish strong relationships
• Proactively develop and lead strategy for your clients, always maintaining strong client satisfaction.
• Lead and manage your team to ensure they each have strong account plans and client relationships
BUILD & MANAGE CLIENT STRATEGY:
• Lead and drive delivery of client strategy for each client's account plan, ensuring it meets their needs.
• Contribute to client’s business growth by identifying new opportunities.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve performance.
• Drive the creation and delivery of high-quality deliverables to clients
REPORTING/COLLABORATING:
• Reporting key P&L and performance data to Line Manager & dotted reporting to Group CD
• Feeding issues and opportunities back to hierarchy
• Collaborate with other internal teams to ensure knowledge sharing and aid growth of the whole business
• Lead effective team meetings with documented reports
DRIVE BUSINESS REVENUE:
• Share client needs and feedback to help client services as a whole to deliver a best-in-class service.
• Manage your team's P&L and look for opportunities to grow it, through up/cross sell and new revenue streams.
• Focus on expanding existing client relationships
CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM:
• Manage a team of direct reports, including PDPs and performance conversations
• Provide leadership in line with agency’s values and flag where you see issues.
• Ensure your team have the skills and training needed for their roles
• Manage the onboarding process for new starters on your team
• Actively role model the agency culture and values
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION REQUIRED
· At least 7 years’ experience as an Account Director in the Advertising industry.
· 3+ years’ experience as a Client Director with a good track record
· Must be bilingual (English & French)
· Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communication, Management or any other relevant field – a must
· FMCG / Telco account management experience, either client or agency side
· Have managed or mentored people successfully
· Have managed advertising campaigns - familiarity with ad formats, keyword types
